New TVD Tomorrow — Oh! And Elijah For Mayor!

Let’s tackle the first part of that headline, shall we? After six LONG weeks, we finally get new TVD tomorrow night! Woohoo! Only six more episodes for the whole blessed season! I KNOW! So much is going to go down, we don’t even KNOW. But we have our ideas. Tears will be shed, blood will flow, people will die. This is bound to be epic y’all. We’ll be posting our Reactions to Ep. 2.17 on Friday, with a full picspamtastic recap to follow next week. These next six weeks are going to be straight-up-cray-cray bananas. We’re all in this together, people.

“So, what the heck does the second part of the headline mean?” you may be asking. “Since when is Elijah running for mayor? Isn’t he dead?” Yes, yes, he is — FOR NOW. But he won’t be for long if we have any say in the matter. I mean, they only have one original-killing weapon, right? Well, it’s currently lodged in the chest cavity of our favorite BAMF, and there’s only one way to get it back. Someone’s going to have to #pullthedaggerout. Then the world is our favorite coin-throwing, double-heart-ripping, head-slapping Original’s oyster. You know, for all intents and purposes. And we Mystic Falls residents are out a permanent mayor. Who better to run this joint than Elijah “Smith”? He knows, like, all of history, and he’s definitely resourceful. You can trust him. You don’t believe me? Just look into his eyes. LOOK INTO THEM.

I mean, really. Can you imagine a Mystic Falls with Elijah as Mayor and Damon as Head of the Founders’ Council? Elijah and Damon… leading the town together. *chills* Oh, yeah.
